Vacancy for School Administrator and Attendance Officer


Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus 5 INSET days)

Salary: Grade 4 NJC (£24,294 – £25,545 per annum) pro rata


We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who can demonstrate the skills required to be effective in this key role.


This role will suit an individual who has experience of providing strong and effective administrative support within a fast-paced environment and who can work efficiently under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines.  No two days will be the same and you will need to be very approachable, have a flexible attitude, confident manner and be able to juggle priorities.


With a high level of computer literacy, you will be able to communicate confidently, both orally and in writing, and be able to build relationships across teams to deliver tasks effectively, reflecting the values of the school in all of your interactions. 


The post holder will work alongside staff and work with pupils and families to promote excellent attendance, improve punctuality and reduce levels of absence. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and updating the attendance system for pupils. The prospective candidate will promote and support high levels of pupil attendance and support pupils in achieving their full academic potential.


The role will encompass a variety of duties including administrative support for the Executive Headteacher, teaching staff and the School Business Manager. 


Previous experience of working in a school or other office environment would be preferable, however, full training will be provided.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS clearance application.

All holidays must be taken outside of term time weeks.
