Reception Admissions – September 2026
Starting primary school is a wonderful milestone, and we are delighted that you are considering Tutshill Church of England Primary School for your child’s first steps into education. We look forward to welcoming new pupils into our caring and vibrant school community, where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and flourish.
Applications for Reception places for September 2026 must be submitted between 3 November 2025 and 15 January 2026. All Reception admissions are managed by the Co-ordinated Admissions Team at Gloucestershire County Council.
Key Dates for September 2026 Admissions
From November 2025
Information will be sent to Gloucestershire residents explaining how to apply for a primary school place.
3 November 2025 – 15 January 2026
Application window opens. Applications must be submitted by midnight on 15 January 2026.
16 April 2026 – National Offer Day
Parents and carers will be informed of their allocated school place.
23 April 2026
Deadline for accepting your offered school place or requesting to join a waiting list.
After 14 May 2026
Outcomes of waiting list requests will be communicated.
21 May 2026
Final deadline for returning reply forms.
Late June – July 2026
Admissions appeals take place.

Applying for a School Place During the School Year
Life can bring exciting changes, and if your family moves into the area during the school year, or your child needs to transfer to a different school, we are here to help. At Tutshill Church of England Primary School, we are committed to making the admissions process as straightforward and supportive as possible for every family.
